ABOUT US
An F/A-18 instructor pilot by trade, economist by hobby, and fitness/health enthusiast by lifestyle, Free Life founder, Michael Segrest, has always been fascinated with the concept of freedom and its relationship to happiness. Michael has written books on the freedom and happiness connection ranging from the philosophical basis for choosing a freedom-based lifestyle to the positive and negative effects that monetary policy imposes on societal freedom and social cohesion.
At the outbreak of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, Michael realized how little most people understood about the connection between their own lifestyle choices, their immune health, and their basic happiness. Instead of becoming a moment of worldwide self-reflection and motivation to make empowering lifestyle changes, this lack of fundamental health understanding caused the health emergency to become a moment of worldwide fear and disempowerment. It was because of this that Michael created Free Life. He made it his personal goal to provide people with the tools, information, and motivation needed to improve their health and in turn, increase their personal freedom.
